TOS Violations

When our moderation team rejects resource submissions, issues warnings or places bans, a reason will always be provided. Occasionally that reason will be labeled as “TOS Violations”, which, in the context of resource uploads, means one or more of the following:

• You uploaded content which we believe you do not own or have rights to redistribute (i.e contains content you cannot redistribute commercially)
• You uploaded content which you'd normally need a permission to resell/redistribute, but you have not disclosed the permission you received.
• You uploaded content which we believe may violate the law.
• You uploaded content which we believe may violate the policies of our business partners.
• You uploaded content which we are legally obligated to remove.
• You uploaded content which we believe violates our TOS in some other way.
• You uploaded content which is not suitable for our community or does not align with our values. As outlined in our TOS, we retain the right to remove any content, at our discretion.

When a decision is made to remove content or issue punishments for TOS Violations, that decision is final and not open to appeal. For that reason, as well as potential legal concerns, it is our policy not to comment further on these cases with the users involved nor provide guidance on altering the product so that it passes our moderation checks. As we are not as familiar with your product as you are, nor qualified to provide legal advice or interpret the licenses and policies of 3rd parties on your behalf, providing such guidance would be inappropriate and potentially erroneous. Your uploads are your responsibility and we must ensure that we’re not unintentionally shifting that responsibility onto our moderation team. If you choose to resubmit your product after having made changes that you believe ensures that your product adheres to our expectations, you do so at your own risk and with the knowledge that you may be met with the same result.
